Planted at the ends of the earth and on the moon, the ubiquitous American flag is an integral part of United States history, symbolizing hard fought victories, both on and off the battlefield. But where did the flag come from? Who designed it? How does one properly care for it? These and other questions are adroitly addressed through re-enactments in this excellent three-part series geared for younger viewers. The United States Flag Videos set is comprised of three 20-minute programs: The History of the U.S. Flag (shot at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Betsy Ross's house), The Pledge of Allegiance (in which President Teddy Roosevelt “comes to life” and joins an elementary school teacher to discuss the pledge), and Flag Etiquette (featuring actor Sean Patrick Thomas from Save the Last Dance in a rundown of dos and don'ts on how to treat the flag).
