The Wannsee Conference

Capturing the barbaric cruelty unleashed by Hitler and his followers against the Jews and other "unfit" members of society, this documentary takes its title from the macabre meeting held at a beautiful villa near Berlin in January of 1942, where fifteen of the most highly placed Nazis drafted plans for the genocidal "final solution" while sipping drinks and enjoying other amenities. Combining film clips with interviews with Jewish and non-Jewish historians who share their thoughts about the conference and its aftermath, The Wannsee Conference contains some graphic footage that would be disturbing to younger and highly sensitive viewers, but would otherwise be a fine addition to Holocaust collections in high school, academic and public libraries.
