Though there is little action or activity in this video as the camera moves among the beautifully carved and painted wooden figures depicting scenes of Jesus' journey to the Cross on Calgary, on display at St. Patrick's Church in Erie, PA, viewers may still feel transported by the quality of the shared meditations offered up here. Chronicling the events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion, many of the readings note how Jesus Christ's sufferings are in some ways echoed in our own, with an emphasis on how we are spiritually refined as we learn to handle pain. In addition, the program addresses true compassion, exhorting viewers to allow God to develop a gentle spirit within each of us. Thoughtfully narrated by Reverend J. Daniel Dymski, the meditative feel of this program is further enhanced by the tasteful inclusion of several recordings, including those made by Erie's St. Peter Cathedral Choir. Recommended.
