"Guess who just got back today?/Those wild-eyed boys that had been away." '70s guitar-driven Irish rockers Thin Lizzy, fronted by the late Phil Lynott, serve up a short eight-song set in this 41-minute 1978 concert filmed in Sydney, Australia. The joy of hearing such Lizzy staples as "Jailbreak," "The Boys Are Back in Town," "Cowboy Song," and "Bad Reputation," is quickly dashed by one of the worst sound mixes to grace a music DVD: the stereo option is godawful, but the 5.1 mix is immeasurably worse; we're talking horrendous caterwauling. Also included on the disc is a text essay on the history of Thin Lizzy that runs a thumb-numbing 101 screens. Larger music collections looking for source footage of the boys in concert (which is rather hard to come by) might want to consider, but this is not recommended for others. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
