Featuring music by The Chieftains, Touring Ireland takes viewers on a fascinating stroll through the war-torn history of Ireland's struggle for independence. with stops at many of the historical and cultural landmarks that dot the Irish countryside. Major attractions include: Dublin, with its rich diversity and famous pubs, St. Patrick's Cathedral (where Cromwell insultingly stabled his horses), the harsh Aran islands, Cork with its legendary Blarney Stone (which is not the easiest thing in the world to kiss--requiring a bit of upside-down, back-bending acrobatics), Yeats' Sligo, The Rose of Tralee, Killarney National Park, Donegal, the rocky Connemara, and much more. As per usual, the video and audio qualities of this Questar Video production are top-notch.
