Mark Lane, author of the 1966 bestseller Rush to Judgment and the current bestseller Plausible Denial, both dealing with the assassination of John F. Kennedy, is the writer/host for this program which examines the evidence presented by Roger D. Craig, a former Dallas police officer who was one of the first law enforcement agents to arrive at the scene of the shooting. He says that the Italian Mannlicher rifle that ended up at the Dallas police station is not the gun that he and others found in the Texas School Book Depository (Craig says it was a 7.65 Mauser; a CIA report dated three days after the murder also cites a 7.65 Mauser). Craig also reports that he saw a man he later identified as Oswald entering a light green Rambler station wagon near the grassy knoll and speeding away. The Warren Commission declined to hear Roger Craig's testimony, and his search for the truth resulted in several attempts on his life (his last interview is conducted from a wheelchair). Craig died in 1975, from a shotgun blast to the chest; the death was classified as a suicide. Lane thinks differently. Two Men in Dallas is presented in plain fashion (not sensationalized), and raises provocative questions which continue to haunt us nearly three decades after the tragedy. With the recent release of Oliver Stone's JFK on video, any book or video on the subject of the assassination is going to be in high demand--Two Men in Dallas is a serious program which merits serious attention. Highly recommended. (Available from: Tapeworm Video, 12420 Montague St., Unit B, Arleta, CA 91331; 1-800-367-8437.)
