Despite an overabundance of videos on Israel and the problems it faces with its Arab neighbors, this particular title approaches the subject in a very unique way. Rather than focusing on the well-known areas of disagreement (land settlements, military presence, police actions, etc.), it looks at ways that Palestinians and Israelis live in harmony with one another. To be sure, these are isolated instances, but they may be more frequent than the public is led to believe, and in showing us another side of the issue the producers of this video have given us another look at an old problem. A Jewish paramedic and an Arab doctor, for example, are shown treating emergency cases regardless of the nationality of the victims; a famous Jewish actor visits his Palestinian friend and talks about everyday events. The tensions all too apparent in Israel are not trivialized in this video, but it does help viewers to see a seldom witnessed side of life in this incredible country. Aud: C, P. (J. Carlson)
