Picking on this poor, defenseless movie would be much like Tom Arnold's ceaseless tormenting of his life-long punching bag, Rick Moranis. Hack Mark Steven Johnson simply rehashes his inexplicably successful Grumpy Old Men scripts here. Arnold and Moranis are cast to type but have none of Matthau and Lemmon's chemistry. A role-reversal subplot involving the character's sons teaches us that we should all get along, but the film makes us cheer Arnold, a henpecked, browbeaten shop teacher who gets a new lease on life when reunited with his favorite victim. Not recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
