Booty Call is the perfect comedy--if you've just had a lobotomy. About two "boys" (Jamie Foxx and Tommy Davidson) who try desperately to have sex with their dates (Tamala Jones and Vivica A. Fox) despite major obstacles such as forgetting to buy condoms, director Jeff Pollack's film lacks one amoeba-sized moment of true humor. Instead, this moronic effort relies on immature, obvious, repetitive gags and gutter humor. After all, how many jokes can you make about safe sex and Saran Wrap, before devolving, like a junior high school kid with a Playboy magazine, into complete juvenile inanity? Watch this movie and you'll regrettably know the answer. Not recommended. (L. Russo)
