"I'm drifting apart," says one of the characters in this tiresome Big Chill extra lite in which a quartet of women who went to college together re-unite to hike a mountain and spread the ashes of a boyfriend. The dialogue (even when grammar is not an issue) is slightly beneath soap opera quality, the aforementioned plot stale, and the characterization one-dimensional (everybody whines). Roughly half of the soundtrack is given over to children's nursery rhymes suggesting...lost innocence? Lack of dialogue? Art? Beats me. There's more insight into the human condition in an episode of Seinfeld than in this lesser entry from the otherwise engaging Short Stories: A Video Anthology series. Not recommended. Aud: C, P. (R. Pitman)
