David Hemmings plays an English jazz pianist who teams with a female journalist (Daria Nicolodi) to track down a savage hatchet murderer run amok in Rome. Screenwriter turned gore director extraordinaire Dario Argento is a big cult fave in certain horror circles, but I've never understood the acclaim, and this cheesy 1975 slice-and-dice-'em, with a headache-inducing electronic score and laughable effects, isn't changing my mind. Not recommended. (S. C. Sickles)
