With a script recycled from the scraps of scores of other prom night movies, Drive Me Crazy might just be the most generic high school flick ever. Can next-door neighbors Nicole (Melissa Joan Hart), the in crowd's Miss Congeniality, and Chase (Adrian Grenier), rebellious slob, work together to win back their respective exes, making them jealous by pretending to be a couple? Like duh, but only after a preppie make-over montage at the Gap, to clean Chase up. You can do the math from here: Chase's friends call him a sell-out, Nicole's back-stabbing girlfriends come on to her "new man," the exes make their apology plays, but--whaddaya know!--our unlikely couple fall in love, just in time for a slow dance at the prom. Not recommended. (R. Blackwelder)
