Set 30,000 years ago on Mars, this anti-technology, environmentally-correct animated fable introduces Eve, an ESP-gifted young girl living underground in a man-made forest, who eventually--with the help of rebel Dew--makes it topside to see Mars' dirty secret: pollution. Eventually, many Martians escape to Earth, where--presumably--they forget everything they learned in junior high science classes. Good intentions do not good anime make, and this Japanese production is ultimately implausible. Optional. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
