The prospect of Jake Busey in a starring role is, well, to quote Count Floyd of former SCTV fame, “really scarrry!” Busey may have been adequate as a roughneck blasting alien bugs in Starship Troopers, but the guy can't carry a movie--especially one as cheaply fashioned as Fast Sofa. Here the nominal actor plays an L.A. loser who a) hits the road in search of a porn star (Jennifer Tilly)--whose vanity license plate reads CLIMAXX, and b) hooks up with a nutty sidekick (Crispin Glover) to engage in some serious drinking and carousing along the way. A truly misguided journey of self-discovery, this is most definitely not recommended. (T. Rich)
