Another aren't-we-like-Tarantino meticulously offbeat "romantic comedy" about young lovers (with guns, of course), Steven Baigelman's sitcom level film stars Keanu Reeves and Vincent D'Onofrio as way over the top dueling brothers who both want the same woman (Cameron Diaz). In a series of plot twists that are predictably weird (but still predictable), Reeves steals his brother's girl, D'Onofrio retaliates, and the girl turns out to be the smartest of the bunch. Very little concession to reality is made (these people have less depth of character than the Three Stooges). By the time the credits rolled, I didn't feel Minnesota, I felt robbed of 95 minutes of my life. Not recommended. (R. Pitman)
