Fun-loving secret service agent Sam Simms (Sinbad) is hired to guard Luke Davenport (Brock Pierce), the president's bratty thirteen-year-old son. A friendship eventually develops between them and they begin to sneak out--against the president's wishes. Utterly predictable, the film has the same plot as Guarding Tess and pits the same types of characters against each other. Yet Sinbad is amusing enough, delivering his lines with plenty of sass, and--fortunately--Pierce isn't nearly as annoying as Macaulay Culkin. Optional. (L. Russo)
