An excruciating 1998 independent film that gives new meaning to the phrase "bathroom humor," Flushed is entirely set in the grungy restrooms of a New York nightclub...and it doesn't take long before it goes right down the toilet. Judging by the clientele upon whose conversations we eavesdrop, this would be a club to avoid, as the stereotypical neurotic and insecure characters engage in banal banter about their bodies, love, sex and relationships (Sex and the City does this kind of confessional talk better). Like the one mope who spends the entire film in urinatis interruptus, Flushed offers little relief. Not recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
