You can take Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley out of a sitcom, but you can't take the sitcom out of Allen and Alley, who shriek and shout their lines, and mug shamelessly as battling New York couple Brad and Caroline Sexton, whose accountant (Seinfeld nemesis Wayne Knight in another grating performance) embezzles their fortune. Five million dollars in debt to the IRS, they go on the lam and wind up in Intercourse, PA (is there anyone over the age of 13 who still thinks that's funny?), an Amish community, where they attempt to go native with obvious, fish-out-of-water results. Allen and Alley are (unaccountably) immensely popular, but Richer is not ready for prime time. Not recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
