Not among the pantheon of Disney animated classics, but this 1947 package feature is one of the last in the vaults yet to be released on video. If you own the featurettes "Bongo" and "Mickey and the Beanstalk," you basically have the film, but purists will want to see the original theatrical version hosted by Jiminy Cricket. Another incentive to purchase is an entertaining behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film with interviews and rare never-before-seen footage that includes deleted sequences. Trivia note: This was the last film for which Mickey Mouse was voiced by his creator, Walt Disney. Recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
