Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves

Welcome back to Wayne's world! Absent-minded inventor Wayne Szalinski (Rick Moranis) fires up his Smithsonian-bound shrinking machine, but accidentally zaps himself, his brother and their respective wives. Thinking they're home alone, their children throw a party. Meanwhile, their microscopic parents contend with behemoth roaches, careening Hot Wheels cars and a quicksand of dip. This live-action produced-for-video sequel is Disney's B-team at work, cannily exploiting a franchise that has worn out its theatrical welcome. Not a necessary purchase. (K. Lee Benson)
