It's supposed to be making fun of bad sci-fi movies, but David Giancola's Illegal Aliens is really just an example of same, right down to the broads with huge breasts and skimpy wardrobes bouncing around in front of the camera. The only thing that makes this flick and the huge bouncing boobs even remotely notable is the presence of Anna Nicole Smith—in the last movie she made before her death—as one of a trio of Charlie's Angels-type aliens who morph into babes to protect the Earth from “intergalactic evil.” Smith does not distinguish herself here, even grading on the bimbo curve, and the film's desperate attempt to achieve high camp is alternately awful, stupid, and boring. No one involved seems to realize that the harder they try, the more painful the results: true camp is accidental. Not recommended. [Note: DVD extras include a filmmaker audio commentary, a “making-of” featurette, deleted scenes, bloopers, and more. Bottom line: all the extras in the world can't turn this into a better film.] (M. Johanson)
