Richard Dreyfuss (Mr. Holland's Opus) and Jenna Elfman (Dharma & Greg) pair up in the wild and crowd-pleasing comedy Krippendorf's Tribe. Dreyfuss plays James Krippendorf, an anthropologist who has been living off a grant to study an "undiscovered" tribe in New Guinea. Problem is, Krippendorf has been squandering the money on his three kids who have been dealing with their mom's death. When colleagues demand to see documentation of the natives, the professor is forced to outlandishly bluff his way through his presentation on the only primitive tribe he knows--the Shelmikedmu--named after his kids: Shelly, Mickey and Edmund. Enlisting the help of his children as well as sexy professor Veronica Micelli (Elfman), Krippendorf desperately tries to pull off the scam as well as save his dysfunctional family. Adding a new fun and funky twist to this well-known charade-playing plot, Krippendorf's Tribe is sure to get the giggles going, and provide a touching message about the trials and tribulations of single parenthood. A strong optional purchase. (M. K. Lau)
