After the dust settles on this "official selection of the Sundance Film Festival," it becomes clear that this bullet-riddled flick about two guys and a sexy girl who shoot their way across the American West in search of gold is just another cheap modern remake of a wagonful of familiar films. The tiresome and recycled plot gives us Lewis (Salvador Xuereb) and Clark (Dan Gunther), two escapees from the Big House, one a certifiable tough guy, the other a geeky computer hacker. On the run with a prison mate's map to hidden treasure, the two guys meet George (Rose McGowan), a beautiful mute woman, who, of course, decides to tag along. Romantic sparks fly, and so do bullets. In fact, the movie's over-the-top violence really detracts from its storyline, which could have been made more interesting through solid scripting rather than gruesome gunplay. This threesome definitely blazes a trail, one that leads straight to the not recommended list. (A. Glover)
