High concept: rubber-faced Jim Carrey is a scum-sucking lawyer who is forced to tell the truth for 24 hours after his neglected son makes a magical birthday wish. Naturally, he's in the middle of a career-making case, in dutch with his wife (they're separated), and, as I mentioned, turning in a rather shoddy performance as a father. Will Jimbo see the error of his tongue-twisted ways? Nope, he remains a cad (ok, I'm a liar). Predictable, pedestrian, yet pretty darn cheap ($22.98), this is a strong optional purchase. (R. Pitman)
