Make no mistake about it, 40-somethings can still rock. Well, we can at least weave and bob a little. Okay, we can tap our foot in a laid back kind of way. I know this because I just watched the Maze music video and I saw lots of gray hair in the audience doing the same cool jerk that I was doing in my chair and that I did over 20 years ago. Lead singer Frankie Beverly can still woo a crowd with his positive organic funk and with 11 gold albums in a row, he's got a heck of a faithful following. The on stage camera work was sometimes out of focus, and the audio wasn't always tip top, but it was after all, live and when the group started swaying and singing "Happy Feelings" or "Joy & Pain," it really was a'MAZE'ing. Recommended. Aud: P. (N. Plympton)
