"You think this is funny?" fugitive Kennan Ivory Wayans screams. "You think this is a joke?" If only it were, but the creator of In Living Color and the blaxploitation spoof I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is dead serious as Gulf War veteran James Dunn who is plucked from Death Row to join--all together now--a covert elite assassination squad. When the First Lady is gunned down, Dunn must elude the police and the military to find out who set him up and--shades of O.J.--find the real killer. As a doctor who has camcorder footage that could clear Dunn, Jill "I can't believe I left Law and Order for this" Hennessy is an embarrassment. It's up to veteran scenery chewers Jon Voight, Robert Culp and a surprisingly restrained Eric Roberts to pick up the slack. Wayans wrote the script which includes this scintillating dialogue when a CIA chief learns the First Lady has been shot: "The First Lady...wow." Wow, indeed. Suffice to say, this title does not live up to its name. (K. Lee Benson)
