In this ninth movie in the popular Pokémon franchise, Ash, Pikachu, and friends meet Lizabeth and Jackie, who are both on missions to see Manaphy, the Prince of the Sea Pokémon. Lizabeth wants Manaphy to take her family to the Sea Temple of her ancestors—the People of the Water—while Pokémon Ranger Jackie wants to protect Manaphy from The Phantom, a sea pirate who craves the treasured Sea Crown hidden within the temple. Not surprisingly, Ash and his friends help save the day in this movie that plays like an extended episode of the long-running television series—full of many different Pokémon characters and plenty of video game-like action. A bonus disc contains the single episode “Pikachu's Island Adventure.” Presented in an unrated English-dubbed version, suitable for 7-up, this is a strong optional purchase. Aud: P. (K.
