One of the better animated entries, Rhea Gall Force is set in the year 2085, after the Third World War between East and West has reduced the Earth to rubble, and the mechanical monsters used by both sides have turned against their former owners. Struggling to bring the opposing forces together, a young woman named Sandy Newman fervently tries to round up isolated bands of survivors while preparing for a mass exodus from the planet. Presented in the letterboxed format, Rhea Gall Force is a good action title with a strong central female character and an involving story line. The film contains some violence and brief nudity. Recommended. (R. Pitman)
