Edward Burns' sophomore follow-up to his acclaimed The Brothers McMullen offers more of the same, only worse. The Fitzgerald brothers, Mickey and Francis (played by writer/director Burns and Mike McGlone, respectively) have women trouble. Younger brother Francis, a Wall Street broker, is unhappily married (to Jennifer Aniston), and seeing his older brother's ex (Cameron Diaz) on the side. Mickey drives a taxicab and impulsively marries a barmaid (Maxine Bahns) who's headed for Paris. Tiresome head-to-heads from all the principals ensue ad infinitum. If you're looking for a good romantic comedy this is definitely not the one. (R. Pitman)
