Incompetent crooks Woody Allen, Michael Rapaport, Jon Lovitz and Tony Darrow open a cookie store two doors down from a bank and try to tunnel into the vault in this hilarious comedy that returns Allen comfortably back into screwball mode. The burglary is bungled, but the cookies (baked by Woody's bickering wife, Tracey Ullman) quickly make them millionaires, after which no-class Allen and Ullman try (and fail) to mix with high society. Unabashedly about nothing deeper than non-stop laughs, this is Allen's funniest film in ages, thanks in large part to the zinger-rich banter between himself and Ullman. Recommended. (R. Blackwelder)
