In this misogynistic, hypocritical, completely laughless frat pig flick, three guys (Michael Rosenbaum, Barry Watson, and Harland Williams) forced to dress up as girls to get back into their frat house come to realize that women deserve respect. Unfortunately, that laudable insight doesn't extend to the people who made Sorority Boys, a completely inept, bottom-feeder flick littered with jokes about date-rape drugs and fellatio, as well as scenes of naked girls taking showers and bouncing around in wet T-shirts. Recycling the most tired jokes in the campus comedy canon, coupled with a gag that hasn't been funny since Some Like It Hot, the boys' unconvincing idea of acting like women is to cock their heads like curious puppy dogs, bat their eyelashes, and giggle in falsetto. Serving up nothing but antiquated stereotypes and embarrassing performances, this is not recommended. [Note: DVD extras include the interactive behind-the-scenes featurette "All the Angles," which allows viewers to choose an angle (from the viewpoint of director, assistant director, stunt coordinator, key makeup and dailies), and choose a scene to jump between the different perspectives with the angle button; and a three-minute "Boys Will Be Girls" montage of makeup, hair removal and costume experiences. Bottom line: a dud extras package for a dud film.] (R. Blackwelder)
