A headstrong young Parisian libertine named Camille (Karin Viard) claims contempt for married life and kids, opting instead for kinky sex at a decadent party where she gets drunk and pukes on a bed--much to the understandable chagrin of the hostess. Alienating friends and acquaintances with her frequently off-putting, self-centered behavior, the emotionally brittle Camille finally finds herself attracted to a seemingly happily married man whom she engages in an undignified, clinging affair with predictably unhappy results. Given the maddeningly obtuse anti-heroine, and an abrupt and unsatisfying denouement, this vaguely interesting French film ultimately fails to engage. Not a necessary purchase. (T. Rich)
