Comments from Tane Shannon, the real-life heroine of this dramatic re-enactment, reinforce this account of a young mother and fitness buff who was abducted from her home and held prisoner in a trailer park by a ransom-demanding thug. A lapsed Christian, Shannon's thoughts gradually turned to prayer during her ordeal, with remarkable results: when her captor left her tightly bound to make the ransom call, she experienced a surge of supernatural energy and broke free, seeking refuge in a neighboring home, where a woman who had inexplicably felt compelled to pray through the night took her in and called the authorities. For Shannon, this experience transformed her belief from fairytale fantasy into a personal connection with God. Unfortunately, even at 26 minutes, this story needs tightening and polish, and the uneven acting and lethargic, meandering pace detract from what could have been a genuinely suspenseful episode (too, the accounts of whispering angels with whirring wings don't add much to the story's credibility).
