Reportedly the highest-grossing film ever in Jamaica, this bucket-o'-bullets set "in the edgy, mean streets of Kingston, Jamaica" stars Paul Campbell as Capone, a flinty crime fighter whose investigation into a shipment of illegal arms brings him back to his hometown, where he finds that his best buddy Ratty (Mark Danvers) is now the local mob boss's right-hand man, a discovery that pits the two friends against one another with predictable results. Make no doubt about it, "TWC" is a 'B'-thriller, though one that is unexpectedly well-acted and executed, with a dynamic lead performance by the telegenic Campbell, who, if he can lift himself out of this dead-end genre, could be a talent to watch. The tech credits, despite the fact the film was shot completely on digital video, are quite good. An optional purchase. (S. C. Sickles)
