You know that old stereotype of AV projectionists being basically a bunch of pencil-necked geeks? Well, this brief introduction to running a 16mm projector does nothing to dispel that notion. Using the kind of humor that only a pencil-necked geek could appreciate, the film ineptly demonstrates how to load and run a 16mm projector, along with a number of things that could go wrong with the audio and video. Although the video carries a 1989 copyright, the actual film (it looks like it was shot on 16mm) could have been made in the '50s for all we know. I don't know if a short course in 16mm projection is really all that necessary these days, but if any of you AV librarians are interested in the idea, I'm sure you could make a more coherent how-to.
