Fitness instructor Debra Bono's flavor-filled dance style continues to motivate viewers, and this time out she offers up three different approaches: African dance, a Latin sizzle, and hip hop funk. I've got to warn viewers, however, that Bono is sneaky: you may feel like you're learning some cool dance step, but before you know it, you're getting an intense aerobic workout--that's right, a two-fer; some relatively intense shimmying, shaking and high stepping plus moves you can take to the local party floor (after two weeks of this workout, I've got a purse-carrying, sidewalk-sauntering swagger I haven't seen since John Travolta's opening shot in Saturday Night Fever). My daughter and I are currently working through the African dance segment, with beach towels around our waists, but we're already looking forward to the smooth Latin workout, and have therefore let Jimmy Smits and Benicio Del Toro know that our dance cards are not entirely full. Highly recommended. Also available for the same price separately on VHS is Bono's new African Dance Workout, which is included on the DVD with 3 Flavors! priced at $35. Aud: P. (N. Plympton)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
