Owen Anderson, star of the superior children's program I'm Wonderful, delivers another great performance in this witty and instructive guide to safety for children. Assuming several different roles, Anderson sings cautionary ditties about car safety, road safety, bicycle safety, water safety, and fire safety. After introducing himself as Buddy Brown, Anderson adopts clever guises for each segment, and mixes good information (wear your seatbelt, stay quiet while riding) with a dollop of humor (don't hang things - like your brother - out the car window). Anderson, a talented mime, makes safety education a lot more interesting than the somber documentaries we had to watch as kids. With the included public performance rights, this would also be a good choice for an in-library children's video hour program. Highly recommended. As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
