Did you know that it takes only 20 minutes for a human stomach to digest Oberhasli goat milk, but over an hour to digest cow's milk? Lactose intolerance is one of many reasons why goats are raised as dairy animals. This video introduces viewers to a working goat farm, where they will see goats being milked and fed, hear the sounds goats make, learn about their distinguishing characteristics (including how to tell a boy and girl goat apart), etc. A fairly well-made video, except for very overmodulated/distorted narration, this is also definitely a niche market item. Perhaps 4-H clubs will enjoy an almost half-hour of dairy goat minutiae, but for others, this would definitely be an optional purchase. Aud: E, I, J, P. (E. Gieschen)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
