Featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, the high-definition filmed Baby IQ: The World Around Us, produced in association with the UK's National Literacy Trust's “Talk to Your Baby” campaign, is set to the classical music of Bizet, Strauss, Ravel, and Berlioz, and combines real-life footage, puppets, and toys to introduce little ones to objects/concepts such as colors, animals, counting, patterns, and the seasons. The robotic I and Q puppet baby characters seen between segments are a little strange, but the overall program—designed to promote early communication and cognitive skills, and geared towards ages six months to three years—boasts some fairly amazing eye candy (the streams of colors being shot through water are mesmerizing).
