Instructor Suzanne Bowen and two helpers who provide modified moves are featured in this cardio-centric fitness program built around Bowen's “BarreAmped” method, which is inspired by dance and uses barre exercises (well, barre-style, here a chair is suggested for balance). Featuring an intro by Bowen—who explains the goal of burning fat and asks viewers to watch the accompanying tutorial on proper form—Cardio Fat Burn includes three main routines. “Extreme Cardio Fat Burn” features Tabata-style interval training including side steps, lateral movement “skiers,” v-position pulses, jacks, taps, and mountain climbers. “Cardio Sculpt” adds hand weights for plié squats, leg pulses, pivot twist, curtsy lunge, leg lifts, and front shoulder raises. And “Cardio Core” is a chair balance “classic parallel” routine with various reach, tuck, press, and shimmy moves, often performed on one's toes (“You should be on fire!”). Also featuring warm-up and stretch cool-down segments, this is recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
