Ex-cop and self-confessed stoner Barry Cooper, having decided that the nation's drug laws are too strict, claims in this vanity production that he has been motivated by “compassion” to prepare this how-to guide for avoiding arrest. Towards this end, Cooper offers valuable tips on hiding your stash, fooling pot-sniffing dogs, foiling narcotics-profiling efforts, and what to do if you're actually busted. If you can ignore the fact that this technically uneven first volume from the Never Get Busted series carries properly worded disclaimers but still tacitly endorses lawbreaking (and disingenuously cites the First Amendment as justification for doing so), there's no question that most libraries will find an appreciative audience for this program from a man whose praises have been sung by such disparate sources as MSNBC's Tucker Carlson and High Times magazine. DVD extras include a bonus disc featuring footage Cooper used to train other officers on drug concealment, as well as a speech Cooper gave at the University of North Texas. A strong optional purchase. Aud: P. (E. Hulse)
