Bill Morrison, make-up effects artist for films like Robot Ninja and Skinned Alive, is the demonstrator for this low-budget guide to 10 do-it-yourself horror make-ups. Narrated by Don Pecic, the program shows step-by-step applications for a zombie, pumpkin-head, lizard, witch, cat, burn victim, Frankenstein's monster, vampire, exorcism victim, and alien. The video quality is only passable, but the close-ups are very well done. Young adults will certainly enjoy the gross faces which Morrison creates. As useful for costume parties as it is for Halloween, the program also features a very low price. Recommended. [Note: a second volume covering make-up for mummy, robot, clown, Dracula, phantom, and other faces is also available at the same price.] (Available from: Tempe Video, P.O. Box 6573, Akron, OH 44312.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
