I suppose it would have been beyond my expectations to discover more than just an overproduced advertisement for JLS Video Productions, makers of fine wedding videos, here. Using the rather shopworn premise of a couple searching for just the right videographer (accompanied, for some unknown reason by someone in a hat and trenchcoat), the program provides enough basic information to essentially fill up a pamphlet. I did, however, like the visual comparison made between a professional wedding video and one shot by a favorite uncle (but the disparity would have had more impact--and taken less time--presented in a split-screen format, rather than sequentially). However, even the "professional" version is plagued with overmodulated sound and segments which end with the dreaded "amateur" freeze frames. Not recommended. (E. Druda)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
