Brian Tracy has it all figured out. In order to increase your sagging self-confidence (and, in turn, your value as an employee), all you need are a few ancient laws from the enigmatic mystery schools of yore, some tried and true self-help maxims, and a whole typing pool full of forgiveness. Maybe to the cubical dweller who sees his or her career headed nowhere fast, the laidback Tracy will be a button-down breath of refreshing insight, but to the unincorporated eye he appears to be more Dr. Phil than corporate guru on this motivational speaker's professional-looking DVD seminar that combines overhead projection with carefully chosen buzzwords. Bestselling author Tracy is not exactly Paul Harvey when it comes to public speaking, but he does get his points across, even if not much is new: i.e., recognize your worth, set realistic goals, and purge yourself of negative emotions. Tracy may be one of the world's top seminar leaders, but this is a rather uninspired example of his skills. Optional. Aud: P. (B. Gibron)
