With America's Hispanic population burgeoning, libraries are scrambling to find ways to make resources more inviting and accessible to this fast-growing segment of the population. Bridging the Digital Divide in the Spanish Speaking Community, created by the Colorado State Library, is an excellent tool for accomplishing just that, visiting several libraries with successful outreach programs and interviewing library staff who share their ideas for, and experiences in, designing, modifying, and implementing various services, ranging from the traditional to the innovative. Although specifically aimed at enhancing library services for the Hispanic community (and Hispanic library staff also share helpful cultural insights here), many of the principles presented could also be applied to other focus groups.
