Careers in Science
As the field of science expands with emerging technologies and new discoveries, so do job openings, from A (astronomy) to Z (zoology). This information-packed video interviews dozens of science professionals for their perspectives on the necessary prerequisites to a science career, the frustrations and rewards of such a career, and advice on how to succeed (take math, have a mentor, etc.). Teenage participants at the National Youth Science Camp were also interviewed, providing peer identification and encouragement for young adults. Despite somewhat distracting background music, the information given is solid and practical, and highlights possibilities for a wide variety of career choices in a fast-growing field. Recommended.
