As a practicing cartoonist, I really enjoyed children's book author, illustrator and television cartoonist Mike Artell's simple, straightforward tips and "tricks" (e.g., use the number 11 to indicate an icy surface or glass in a window). With a reasonable pace for either adults or children, and the option to draw along with Mike and/or stop the tape after each segment and practice, viewers will find Artell's advice and instruction to be both practical and inventive. Two other programs are also available featuring Mike Artell, Basic Cartooning and Cartooning A-Z. Sure to benefit aspiring cartoonists, this is highly recommended. Aud: E, J, H, P. (S. Fisher)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
