There's something kind of charming in seeing two good ol' Italian boys with biceps the size of jackhammers getting down to some serious sautéed zucchini making. Stephen Cassarino and Lee Gerovitz are the wise-cracking chefs in this fun and easy to follow guide. The premise is simple: you too can make all those "ini" foods (zucchini, fettuccini, etc.) elegantly and quickly. Roughly divided into three sections, the boys--in their bathrobes, no less--whip up breakfasts (omelets, sausage links, french toast, bacon, and broiled grapefruit), dinners (boiled lamb chops, rice pilaf, stir-fried chicken, zucchini, sole meuniere, and baked cod), and, of course, pasta (fettuccine). Every so often, the boys slip up and look at the wrong camera; other than that this is informative and enjoyable. A 15-page booklet is included. Recommended.
