Alligators, deer, and bear (oh my!). The flora and fauna of the National Audubon Society's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary are on display in this better-than-average but not quite broadcast quality video overview. Interviews with photographer Clyde Butcher and sanctuary manager Ed Carlson sing the praises of this southern Florida destination (about 30 minutes from Naples), but the lion's share (wait...it's a cliché, not one of Corkscrew's features) of the program is given over to lots of shots of the sanctuary, occasionally accompanied by music so thunderously grandiloquent it would make John Williams blush. Local libraries may want to have on hand; for most others this is an optional purchase. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
