Primarily aimed at parents and childcare providers, this tape is intended as a brief refresher course for those who have already had CPR instruction. The program is divided into two sections, first demonstrating techniques to be used on infants up to one year of age, followed by instruction for children ages 2-8. The instructor reviews infant rescue breathing, infant CPR, and how to clear an obstructed airway for both conscious and unconscious babies, repeating the procedures again with appropriate modifications for children. Onscreen keywords allow for fast forwarding to a specific section, and summary screens appear at the end of each section. Although this bare bones production doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, the information is timely, employing the latest methods, and the concepts are clearly presented in a manner that is both engaging and easy to follow (with technical terminology kept to a minimum). Endorsed by the American Heart Association, this CPR refresher is recommended. Aud: P. (L. Stevens)
